2014-07-02 (W) LEGO Essay

The essay to describe how I view making and makers has been turning over and over in my head for years. I think of the ability to make as modular pieces which can be fit into one another with boundless possibilities. Just like LEGOs.

I could wax poetic about LEGOs for a long time but I will leave that that for later.

Enough background.

While thinking of how to complete the essay started on 2014-04-20 (Su) the idea was struck to make the presentation in the style of vertical banner infographics. Since the presentation would focus largely on illustrations the transition to a graphic with minimal wording is logical. A guide to show each picture was sketched with colored pens.

Guide to graphic

LEGOs were selected with little regard to the state, only cleanliness. An initial presentation will be made with animated pictures and text descriptions following that will be a static graphic using photographs. The last step will be a vector illustrated graphic.

To do:

  • Compile presentation and wording
  • Make static graphic
  • Illustrate with vectors
  • Get input   ←┐
  • Revise       →┘
