Chapter 38 was recorded but with a different approach. It was a short chapter but the bulk of the chapter was a text message exchange between two male characters. To this point they had the same voice but different inflections. In this chapter they were communicating with a nonverbal medium. Their inflections stayed the same but a different filter was applied to the character whose text messages were being read by the main character. Instead of the standard reading a second track was added in the audio editor where the voice was modified to sound like it was coming through a telephone.

Two reasons for this change in technique was to experiment with filters in a logical place and to avoid having to read the text which designated whose message was being read. Alternatively it could have been read verbatim but each sentence would have started with “My phone” or “Numbers.” For those not following the story, Numbers is the pseudonym of the other character in the conversation.

Describe a reality TV show which demonstrates the powers of contestants.
Describe a civil trial where a Charged person sues for the right to have a second identity but the case turns against him into a vilification of vigilantism.
