KiCAD was downloaded to design this circuit. KiCAD is one of many free software suites for designing circuit boards. Hack A Day wrote a good article about browser-based PCB designers. This design was simple and space restriction was not an issue.

Since the design had already been sketched, it was a straight-forward task to draw it in KiCAD. Learning the software took the most time but it was similar to Eagle CAD which I have used in the past. Many PCB suites have a similar interface. There are even web-based versions which don't require a download. One regrettable oddity about KiCAD was the choice of Comic Sans for the title block. That would literally be my second-to-last choice. Wingdings would be the least suitable.
