The Tinysine module wirelessly eventually connected to a PC after following some online instructions which would not work on my primary computer. The tricky part has been adding a Bluetooth module as a serial port like the kind that would appear when a USB↔serial converter connects to a PC. It seemed like this was some progress, but it was false hope since no data could be transmitted or received.
COM port established with a different PC

I tried a new Bluetooth module with a phone app, and the phone had no trouble connecting. None of the configuration commands could originate from the phone, and I had no luck sending them from the computer through the USB↔serial where the hardware pins connected.
