2020-12-09 (W) Gravy Shock

This chapter starts by talking about The Quiet, a phenomenon on spaceships where the silence is overwhelming and therefore a constant reminder that there is a vacuum outside for miles. The Quiet is another bit of slang for the story. Jerry offers some of his old sound loops, and the kids decide on one. Marigold detects some unencrypted wireless traffic during breakfast, which was the sound file loading to the ship. Jerry was not using a computer, so Ness and Marigold wonder if Jerry brought someone else aboard.
