My code played a pseudo-random note at the desired tempo, and I changed it to play the first instrument in each mood. I think it played the same frequency and instrument five times. After that, I made the notes play at the desired velocities. Then I added code to change their octaves according to the spreadsheet, and finally, I implemented a prandom number generator to play them according to their likelihood modifier. These steps were all part of a path I laid out to expand on the simple note playing.
