Chapter eight recording was finished. Recording hasn’t held any new surprises lately but the location, the tiny sound closet, is so cramped that it has become difficult to want to spend time recording. A custom shelf has been getting designed mentally which would allow for significantly more leg room. Currently there is not enough room to crouch since the shelf holding the computer takes up so much room. The shelf would be suspended by wall studs already in place.

If a day was used to build a shelf it may speed up recording in the long term. Shelving would be cut and nailed together then painted and allowed to dry. Since the closet is enclosed the paint odor would be distracting. It might make the most sense to build two identical shelves at the same time and only paint one. While it dries, for a couple days, the unpainted version could be used.
