2018-08-14 (Tu) Jeffrey Tibbetts Interview for Body Hacking Con

I agreed to help write for the BDYHAX blog. It seemed like a reasonable place to share some of the cool things I see which don't apply to other blogging but should be shared anyway. Plus, I was the subject of the seventh blog posting which linked back to 24 Hour Engineer.

The first article will be about testing magnets. This was a pertinent topic due to the influx of titanium nitride magnets at a previously unheard of price. The problem was that many of the magnets were unsuitable for implantation. Some people assumed the magnets were acceptable because of the material used for the coating but the integrity of the coating was imperfect in most of the magnets.

A procedure for testing was loosely tossed about in the biohack.me forum but nothing was formalized. The editor asked if a solidly-defined procedure could be described and he wanted to hear more about Jeffrey Tibbetts, the creator of the Augmentation Limitless blog who was the focus of my first draft.

I had the good fortune to sit down with Jeffrey at DefCon 26 and conduct an interview to find out more about him and his testing knowledge. It was an impromptu discussion and I was flabbergasted by his ability to recall important information at the drop of a hat. I am looking forward to updating the blog post.
