Before this project, I did not know that addressable 7-segment displays existed. It makes sense, though. The project was not a feat of ingenuity or a particularly skilled build, but it was a prime example of what people do to motivate themselves. In this case, a person wanted to build their YouTube notoriety and by making those statistics a constant reminder, set up their own feedback loop.
