LED spacing led to a few calculations about how long the next pipe needed to be cut. The distance of each turn and the space between turns resulted in a cylinder that should be 1.25m tall.
Spacing for LED strip

5foot (1.5m) sections of PVC were typical at the home improvement stores since not everyone has a truck or trailer to haul 10foot pieces, which were the default length. I took one to the hackspace and cut it to length, plus extra on each end for the reducers.

The old PVC section was a few inches too short, but that section may be used for another project. The LEDs shown on it were taped in space with masking tape, not permanently adhered. It may also wind up in another project.
