The main component for this project is a 3.5" color screen in the middle of the face. The monitor is an Arduino shield that connects to the double row of sockets at one end of a MEGA controller board. It would be inconvenient to mount the controller board there so that I will run a ribbon cable. I had a 40-pin from a Raspberry Pi, so there were more than enough connections. The problem was that this type of wiring isn't an extension since it reverses the left and right pins. I removed the 36-pin socket from the board and installed male headers on the underside so the other end of the cable would effectively become the controller's socket.
