I can go a few directions with my design right now. I decided to start with the keycaps. In the past, I've printed them, but they rarely worked as well hoped. Now, I'm more familiar with my printer so that I can design a reliable model. Last time, I used Fusion 360, but I always missed the way parameters integrate with OpenSCAD programs. The toughest part has always been the stem that interfaces with the keyswitch. Finally, I found someone who made an OpenSCAD keycap. I had hoped I could find a couple of lines of code for the part I needed and copy them out, but they were deeply embedded, so I resorted to rendering the part I needed. A big "Thank you" to rsheldiii and their keycap model.
