I had a script and plans for a soundtrack. Now, I needed a voice track to know how long to make the music. My recording space had a desk, but it took so much room that I could only fit if my back touched the door. I found a short desk and placed a milk crate on top, then a plank to rest my laptop at a comfortable standing height. I thought about the best way to read my dialogue, but I could only use Evernote in a browser since my recording computer uses Linux. I decided to read off my phone and started speaking, but I only got a few sentences into Chapter one.
