If you're not familiar with this book, read this otherwise you'll just be reading spoilers below.

Amos questioned Jason about the events surrounding the arrest of Michael Coffitt. Amos knew this man flew at Dawson’s father’s house but he tried to escape on foot. He also exhibited super-human strength in the past but not this time. Jason explains all the hypothesis he has surrounding ONYX and their capabilities.

This was meant to seem like an oversight on my part as the writer but it was canon and they became clues as to how ONYX works. Jason only cited the most obvious trope-worthy situations but he was only partially correct.
