I began editing the recorded material. I thought it would go quickly, but editing chapter two took as long, or maybe longer, than recording it. To help, I made a template with the necessary audio tracks to import each chapter and begin quickly.
Only three characters talked in this episode, and one of them was a meowing cat. Editing was a little easier, but I still need to be better in the future about making cuts between characters instead of long takes.
Only Marigold and Ness spoke in this chapter. I started by deleting all the dead space between takes, so the bulk of my work was placing appropriate pauses. Editing like this was less stressful and more efficient.
Chapter five didn't have any roadblocks or speedy parts. I am catching on to the fastest way to edit these chapters and developing a rhythm.
While editing chapter six, I heard some of my lines come off poorly. I didn't like how they sounded, and some of the intonations didn't fit the mood. I'll have to improve in the next round.
I tried to over-edit chapter seven by taking three passes. The first time, I removed the interstitial silence and inhalations. In the second go-around, I placed the characters' clips on their tracks. Finally, I tweaked the gaps between the sentences, but that second step was not a wise idea.
