When I tested my laser on the 1.5mm thick wood, I cut some soft basswood that would require at least two layers. I had some birch plates, but that is denser wood. Fortunately, I had no trouble making clean cuts. I revised the shape to fit the coaster-sized samples by removing the wheels, making it shorter, removing the battery mounting area, and expanding the cleats. I'll have to hold the battery above the servos and below the controller in one tall stack. I still don't have a way to mount this to a person.
