My sister wanted a device that could detect small changes in barometric pressure and alert her with a light and sound. It shouldn't be challenging to set up, but it should be easy to recognize at a glance.

I ordered some simple sensors and took some parts I had in stock. I want to use a piezo element to emit sound, and an RGB LED for more precise notifications, a couple of potentiometers to set spike sensitivity, and a second for when the pressure slowly moves more than a certain amount. The light will change to one of five colors depending on pressure drops, rises, and whether that change is a spike.
Example:
Green - Working, no alerts
Red - Pressure spike
Yellow - Slow pressure rise
Blue - Pressure plummet
Cyan - Slow pressure drop

I downloaded the latest Arduino IDE (V 2.0.0!) and installed it on two machines. I got used to the new layout since the last one I used was V 1.8.13. I ran the example code from Adafruit and finally got both setups registering the pressure in Pascals.
