My second speaker grille arrived, so I installed it without fuss. While I had my drill, I placed a chrome cabinet pull on the top as a carrying handle. The big task for the day was making a back panel to protect the insides. I considered several methods, like hinges and magnets, but I chose four black draw latches on the white-painted wood. I could not find white draw latches at the hardware store, and the black matches the unit's top and bottom.
I cut a slab of wood with a circular saw and missed having access to a table saw, or radial-arm saw. I tried to make the edges clean, but I failed, and one face will definitely become the bottom. I positioned my draw latches and installed the wood screws on the door and the chassis. I removed the hardware from the back and applied a layer of white paint.
