2023-07-24 (M) GrinderCompassMKII Sketch

I started miniaturizing the GrinderCompass. The idea came shortly after finishing the large prototypes, but I waited to start this new iteration so I did not burn out on the project. I bought some cylindrical magnets a few years ago that were magnetized across the axis instead of the diameter, which was unusual. Their unique properties inspired some early designs and this one.

The parts are more precise than I can make with a laser cutter, so the ring around the middle holding the steel bearings apart and the caps should be made on a resin printer. The concept does not include a case or spring-loaded spinner cradle. I can produce all the necessary parts for a working model myself.
