2017-12-02 (Sa) Weekly Summary

Tim had to tend to his new baby so I was on my own for another episode. Rather than try something outrageous, I just aired some thoughts and greivances about the grinder community which weren't important enough for a show on their own but lumping them all together was easy. Since I was recording solo, it was possible to do multiple takes on each sentence which pared down on the editing. Check out episode 040.

It occurred to me that not everyone reading this blog is willing to read through all the previous blogs in order to catch up to the current day and there are a lot of past blogs about Charged: DesertIrish. To help people understand what is happening, I wrote an introduction to Charged: DesertIrish which encourages people to start the story and it gives some background about why I started and what makes it important to me.

For everyone reading along, here are the spoilers for the week.

Dawson quickly realized he had a lot of restoration work to do around the job-site with his Charge. At first, he thought he was just going to help Head to get video working on the bridge but it was clear he didn't know what was necessary and he was needed elsewhere. For all this, he relied on Charley who was better suited to helping with video and rejuvenation Dawson.

After a day of restoration and intermittent rejuvenation, Charley and Head pranked Dawson by using Charley as a distraction while Head crouched behind Dawson for the oldest prank in the book where Charley pushed Dawson over the crouching Head. Quickly thereafter, Charley set Dawson back but a little too far and erased the whole day. At least, that is what was written, Dawson doesn't remember any of it so his day "starts" with Head laughing at the prank.

Dawson goes to Vani's for a quick change of clothes but when he comes back, there are helicopters circling the ship and demanding that they exit the ship. Dawson thinks they may be speaking Spanish. The ship is prepared for her maiden journey, which was supposed to only be a test.

The flight test literally happens under fire, from machine guns. The guns aren't able to do much damage to the ship but the maiden flight is hardly peaceful. Vani brings the ship to the Mojave desert to a place they had been planning to store the ship so the metal wouldn't be subject to the humidity of a South American rain forest. All the work of escape was handled by Vani and Head.
