Chapters thirty-nine and forty were an odd mix of the old story and the new story. Characters were present from the new story, but they were only doing things because people do things when they're around. They could be taken out, and the story would be intact, but they could be left in to continue the story. Up until now, there were two options. The first option was to cut the story and eliminate the characters who weren't part of the first. The second option was to continue onto the second story with characters intact. A newly considered option is to stop the story in a few chapters with the characters intact but end the book. When those chapters are reached, that decision will be made.
