This hack came with mixed messages. On the one hand, the creator advocated that folks always build with modern hardware that is in stock, so no one has to scramble for rare and obsolete parts. On the other hand, the centerpiece of the build was a long-outdated bit of medical hardware from a divided Germany. At its core, it was still a fun build that resulted in a unique bit of musical equipment that could spur conversation without trouble.
