Wiring for the controller had to be rugged since it would be slammed by kids and over-torqued by adults. It would also need to talk to a microcontroller. The ends on the wires were decided by their connections. The arcade hardware used two sizes of spade terminals and the microcontroller had header pins. DuPont wires were salvaged and crimped with spade terminals to connect everything.

Both of the yellow buttons connected to the same place as the first buttons so they were tested by changing modes and functions. For the time being, a plastic storage crate held the controller face but this would be a temporary solution.
