I wrapped magnet wire around my latest brace in a helical fashion. I wasn't sure if this method would work, but it was a lot of trouble to get the wire spool through the center for each turn. Wrapping this way was less work and mess than glue.

The results were poor. After a few seconds of operation, the wire got warm. The LEDs barely turned showed, and I had to be a few millimeters from the edge. One issue could be that the conductors aren't close enough to act as an inductor, so the energy becomes heat instead of electromagnetic waves.
