2022-09-12 (M) SkateSailV3 Sketches

I considered adding flaps to the V2 sails to change their geometry, but I decided to start a new design and make the fabric the right shape. I began with a single triangle, placed a square below it, and added rounded flaps called the roach.

I thought I could add a handle in the middle to raise the triangular portion while lifting the square lower portion, but that wouldn't work. I decided the smartest thing to do was build the sail with nothing in the middle so I could test the shape on the most straightforward frame.
