I wanted to test the MIDI board. I confirmed the port but did not check for sound from the synthesizer. I added a note sequence that activated when I pressed the PRandomize button but did not hear anything on my headphones plugged into the unit. I tried an amplified speaker and a Bluetooth transmitter, but I had the same result. I reread Adafruit's page regarding the synthesizer feature and realized I needed to correct the baud rate. When I fixed the error, the unit made piano sounds like I expected.

I wanted a starter screen to build more later. Each potentiometer and encoder will control a function depending on the mode. I will add text to a color-coded bar near the operator to describe the purpose. I started with a red rectangle under the red potentiometer, and when I made that work, I copied it for the rest of the colors. After the potentiometers, I repeated the process for the encoders.
