I cut the faceplate with the laser engraver and tested how the button caps would fit. I had two styles, one yellow and one black, which were slightly different sizes. I alternated colors, which should look nice, but the yellow ones were too snug. I widened the holes slightly with a knife, and they moved freely. I painted black lines at the same angle as the MIDI section, and when the paint dried a bit, I taped them off, added yellow paint, and uncovered the panel to dry.
