2025-04-08 (Tu) EWC_Soother First playback

While browsing the recording and playback code, I noticed that the first note was usually 0x04, the keyboard key I used to start, but it was not supposed to be part of the loop. I added a condition that the first octave should not be recorded.

I added code to begin playback after I stopped pressing buttons. It played, but after going through it once, it sent a flurry of nonsense, and my synthesizer became overloaded. I revised the code, and the device would reliably play my first sequence, but it would crash if I pressed new notes. This operation was fine for the day, so I tested things like sustained notes, and changing the delay between loops, and both worked perfectly.
