2025-05-31 (Sa) JimmyBadge Failed engravings

I set out a fresh piece of plywood to cut, set my laser parameters, and watched the process start. When I came back, the wood was crooked, and the laser head was engraving the wrong part of the wood. I stopped and discarded the ruined wood. The plywood's corners were bowed, but I was sure it was flat when I started. The heat and humidity were enough to distort the wood during the process since I was engraving outdoors. To work around the problem, I taped the board at the corners and removed the laser guard so it could not snag. The laser never caught the corners again, but it stopped mid-cut, which was frustrating. I tried again, but it stopped in the same place. It was too late to solve that problem.
