2025-06-23 (M) Critical Affection:

Sarah and I gushed about Steven Universe for an hour. We both sincerely enjoyed the series, but I was less forgiving when it came to the movie, and both of us were critical of the final season. We discussed the LGBTQIA+ themes in the show, but they were so elegantly written that they were seamlessly integrated into the story, not a feature or sticking point. Amanda was not there to pick deeper.
