I was ruminating on the game rules and codification, so I took a break from programming to make a sticker for a remote that I planned to repurpose. The idea is that the codes from this remote will activate administrative options, such as selecting different games, reassigning teams, and starting games. When I run gaming sessions, I can point the remote at players to individually assign teams as they desire. I measured the remote and printed a sticker to overlay the existing buttons with their new functions. The old remote had "Car MP3" at the bottom and seemed to be a popular 21-button choice when I searched for "DIY Arduino Remote." I recorded all the codes as unsigned long constants in my Arduino sketch. Next, I will write the code to recognize them and act accordingly.
