Nick Edwards suggested Logan as a relevant movie to discuss, as he promoted his current comic, The Apostasy. I had to look up the definition of apostasy, which is someone's abandonment of a belief, and follows the story of a demon who encounters a girl he believes does not deserve punishment. Nick described it as a "lone wolf and cub" story, which tracked with Logan's plot. I love the X-Men franchise, but this movie was not really a superhero movie. I also dislike bleak plots. Ultimately, the film was somewhat enjoyable, but it was a challenging watch. The racial, cultural, and class discrepancies were the most significant problems with the script, and that fares better than so many modern films.
