2026-01-03 (Sa) BonfireLaserTag Mounting microcontrollers and pushbuttons

I was losing steam on this project. It was hard and harder to continue, and the only way to push through was to break the job into smaller and smaller tasks. I thought about assembling one tagger each day, but I settled on installing one component each day. I started with the pushbuttons since they were the simplest and least likely to cause problems, and it was a good thing I did, because I still had to drill mounting holes for them, and the microcontrollers needed mounting to the back plates. So, my small task turned out to be worth a full day's work. I had to loosen a couple of bolts to squeeze all the mounting hardware while installing the microcontrollers to the back plate, and I chipped one of the arcade pushbutton mounts while drilling, but I am glad I started easy and got through everything.
