The conversation with Dawson's dad, Bud, went well. Jason helped Dawson find a new lawyer for his dad within moments, which wouldn't be much of a feat with internet access. Bud had a strange request for Snickers and Diet Coke. Of course, there was no trouble getting these things for him.
After the talk and junk food, Liz suggested that Dawson visit the ship in South America because he hadn't seen it in a few days. She implied he would be impressed by the progress.
