The touchscreen needed three cables—one micro USB for power, another for touch feedback, and a video input. I gathered the micro cables from my bin and confirmed that one carried data while the other could safely be power-only. The video was brutal because the screen was mounted so closely to the board that an HDMI cable had trouble fitting. I loosened the mounting screws and confirmed that my connections to the computer were good. The micro PC was powered by mains, not battery, to check all my connections. The OS needs reinstallation, but that is another problem.
