2025-04-20 (Su) EWC_Soother Testing after reconnecing

I rewired the MIDI ports and encoder, but the microcontroller board would not activate when I tested the battery. The device will have to be USB-powered. I considered cutting a new faceplate without a power switch, or attaching it to an input and adding a function later, but I left it unconnected. The MIDI ports worked immediately, but the encoder was troublesome. I checked the connections and discovered a wire that was supposed to be grounded was connected to Vcc. I moved it and tested it with my soldering iron power cord, and it worked perfectly. I connected the back plate, and I was done with construction.
