2025-06-21 (Sa) BonfireLaserTag Second handle bottom plug

The carriage bolt on the handle's bottom felt like a nice touch. It was rounded and featureless but felt substantial. The most significant difficulty was tightening the bolt without getting a good grasp. I could exert considerable pressure by clamping the head with smooth-jawed pliers, but that tool was prone to slipping, which could injure someone or cause the print to shatter. I replaced the low-profile bottom plug with a deeper one featuring a hexagonal cross-section and a square cutout at the top, designed to accept a carriage bolt. The piece had slightly rounded edges, and I was pleased with how it turned out. I needed a couple of changes to make the square hole large enough, but it fit together cleanly.
The hex pattern lets me tighten the internal bolt
