I did a couple of revisions to the schematic to include some component descriptions. Next, I started a model to adapt the 3/4" plumbing PVC pipes to the 30mm scope rings I had. I considered a simple bushing that would place a thin layer of brittle plastic all around the pipe, and I wanted something more durable. I designed a piece that would fit between the scope rings and provide all the cushion material on the top of the pipe.
The first print worked pretty well, but a few things did not fit perfectly. There was a large gap above the pipe, which could suffer if there was significant up or down pressure. The bolt holes were a tad snug, and the USB-C connector would not fit into the socket.
