The thread binding issue was intensely aggravating, so I created a cutaway view to check if the threads were mismatched. Everything aligned perfectly, so I increased the threading tolerances and trimmed a fraction of a millimeter from the outer edge of the thread on the tube and LED holder.
The LED holder needed a couple more changes from my list, like a nut socket for the LED mounting hardware, a wider hole for the light, a deeper hex area, made the interior hexagonal for stronger walls, and I added a smooth transition between the hex and circular regions so it would print cleanly.
