2025-09-03 (W) BonfireLaserTag Battery grip installed

The positive battery terminal deep in the cavity was not working well. Installation was nearly impossible, and the design was sloppy. I reconsidered ways to touch the battery terminals, and the easiest was to add bolts coming from the front. I removed all the old terminal holes and added nut sockets, wireways, and bolt holes. I upgraded one of the old versions by drilling and countersinking a couple of holes. The nut sockets made installation significantly easier than the repaired model. I drilled new holes in the pipe tagger chassis to match the new grip and add holes for the wires.

I struggled to get the nuts installed inside the pipe, so I modeled a plastic strip that would hold the nuts while I spun the bolts. The first version was too long, and the nuts fell right out. I reduced the slopFactor variable again since the resin was not expanding as much as the resin I used previously. The grip was finally installed, and the wire was unterminated inside, which will need a step-up regulator.
