2025-09-14 (Su) BonfireLaserTag X-Shot hinge installation

The hinge part I designed kept misprinting. I wonder if there is an irregularity about that spot on the printer platen, or if the resin changed temperature and the part released. I should start printing with supports now that I have the settings dialed in. I loosened the gun's screw nearest the hinge point to perform a test fit, and the hinge fit neatly and articulated correctly. I stopped worrying about the printing issues and cut a tube to fit into the foam-dart gun. I shaped the end of the tube to have an overhang and added a sticker for a more finished look. The tube only needs to hold the microcontroller, and I can hide the USB port in the hinged area. I had to attach the hinge inside the tube to ensure everything fit, so the print failure was not a concern since it was thick enough. The tube kept flipping open when I tilted the gun, so I printed a couple of accessory rails coupled together to make a ledge that kept the pipe in place.
