2025-09-16 (Tu) BonfireLaserTag Battery pack revisions and one good print

I needed a battery grip for one of the taggers, even though the X-Shot will not have the grip in an accessible place. I made a few notes about what should change for the next revision, and they were mostly about how to run wires without pinning them against the chassis pipe. I added a shallow groove between the deep terminals so I could run a wire between them. I added a gap near the shallow terminals to run wires from the long end and get them into he pipe. I shortened the battery chamber since it was 4mm too long, and I made the gap in the shallow terminal area large enough to accommodate an M3 standoff, as it would previously only fit the flat-to-flat size. I set a copy to print with a couple of threaded plugs, but it failed when the battery holder came loose from the platen. As a countermeasure, I printed a copy at 30° with supports, and that came out two hours faster than printing vertically. The bottom had a lot of rough spots from the printing supports, but I shaved them off, and I can paint or cover them with a sticker.
