I cut five lengths of tubing to 170mm based on the length of the focusing array, microcontroller, and the width of the arcade button. I had a drill-actuated cutter, so I made quick work of the segments once I knew how long to make them. I drilled a 24mm hole for the arcade pushbutton. I wanted a 35mm hole to fit the nut, but I could not find my large step bit. Upon a friend's advice, I finally bought a reaming tool and cleaned up the fresh cuts. I used the large arcade button as a reference for adding eight holes that will mount the focusing array and rear cover. The hole pattern was the same for all of them. I added a row of four holes at the bottom for mounting the battery holder, and I thought I was done. Then I remembered I needed a screen holder. When I placed the screen holder on the pipe, it collided with the arcade button adapter. I could have mounted it slightly to one side, but that would look shoddy. I weighed my options, such as cutting and drilling new pipe segments, but I decided to reduce the footprint of the pushbutton adapters. I changed the dimensions and started a couple of prints. I also had to order some arcade pushbuttons, but the 24mm models I was using were uncommon.
