2026-02-09 (Tu) CylinderWhistle Square edges

I was not satisfied with the last CylinderWhistle because it fell short of expectations. I expected something loud enough to justify the filament it required. One of the most significant flaws in the design was the circular top, which did not print well because it was free-floating. Straight lines are usually fine because the filament stretches between two points, but with rounded edges, they droop instantly. The cylinder shape was part of the name, but the curves were not compatible with printing. I reshaped the model to have flat sides so the overhangs would be short and straight. I created a four-sided model and a six-sided model. If the sound is good, I can revise the top to be cylindrical for a more comfortable mouthpiece.
