I revised the key base so I could mount the switch 90° from its current orientation and stop the leads from binding with the key caps. I could still print it on its side, and the new design worked with the old caps. I was happy with the keys, so I started on the layout, which I plan to cut with the laser engraver, so precision was vital. I knew the dimensions from both key sizes, and since the base was the same for both, I added the bolt holes to each block. I arranged all 36 keys in a circle, which was more work than I anticipated because I had to ensure they never overlapped while still forming the tightest possible rings. As I wrote this, I realized that I need to add more holes for the wires.
