Aaron Cohen and Alex Schumacher joined us to talk about Keeping the Faith (2000), which related to their upcoming comic release, Schticks & Stones. The movie and the comic were unapologetically Jewish because they gave the audience credit for knowing a bit about Judaism, and that may leave some people who do not catch a joke. Schticks and Stones did not punch down the way comedies from the 1990s and 2000s did, so they are already doing better, and Alex's artwork looked incredible.
Amanda had many criticisms of the movie and did not enjoy it. The rest of us were expecting worse, so when it was friendlier than contemporary movies, we enjoyed it for what it was.
