2026-04-07 (Tu) RedCabbageTattoo Under the skin COMPLETED

I was convinced that it was safe to try a small tattoo with the red cabbage extract (RCE). I started with three light scratches made with a sterile scalpel blade, but they did not work well. I did not want to buy a tattoo machine, so I ordered some needles and printed a stick-and-poke handle. I fastened a four-cluster needle to the handle with a rubber band and pushed hard enough that it felt like a tattoo from a parlor.
The smaller blob got the needle treatment

The initial result looked great. I had a purple blob where I drove in the ink, and it cleaned up perfectly. After a couple of days, none of the ink remained. I may have needed to drive it in further, but this is not a viable ink.
Either a purple tattoo or a bruising
