I considered wiring the switch connections and calling it a day, but I pushed through and added wires for the lights while I was working. Each wire was a custom length that should reach the IO expander board with a tiny length stripped, tinned, and terminated on the switch or light. After the picture, I tucked all the wires into their wireways and let them dangle out the bottom. I still need to connect all the 0VDC wires and then connect the signals to the IO expander.
