Most of the electrical work was done, so I thought about the base. I planned to buy a sheet of plywood, cut a circle with the same diameter, and drill the mounting holes. At the lumberyard, I grabbed a birch panel and glanced at a specialty product that could be used as a barstool top. It had an 18" diameter, and I needed just over 16", so I bought it because it was only $2 more than the panel, and I did not need to cut anything. With the parts in hand, I printed the CAD drawing with all of the holes. I could not fit an octave onto a standard sheet of paper, so I split each into parts that I can pin, tape, or glue together. At the end, I should have a complete piano on six sheets of paper.
