2026-04-25 (Sa) VictorianLightPiano Partial assembly

Everything was the correct color, so I wanted to start assembly. I quickly realized that I did not have enough brass bolts for the seams between octaves. My earlier plan used dome nuts on the top, but that changed to bolts. I ordered a bunch of pan-head bolts. In the meantime, I added the standoffs and printed spaces, which are the white/brass structures visible on the octave I flipped over. Each standoff had to be placed on a bolt and screwed on. I had an electric screwdriver to do most of the work and spare my wrist. The last task was testing the latest revision of my keycaps. It did not fit as well as I hoped, so I will investigate the geometry and revise again.
